Job Overview

• A chefs typical day involves preparing all the food for a restaurant, hotel, or other facility. Many chefs are not just responsible preparing food, but for budgeting, getting supplies and hiring staff.

Why am I Interested?

• I am interested because being able to make amazing food would be really handy, and it would be an interesting job.

Eduaction Pathway

• Most chefs have to have atleast a high school diploma, but most will go to a college or university to get more experience and get a better job

Salary/Future outlook

• Chefs will always be needed, to cook food for everyone and supply them with a nice meal. The salary of a chef usually starts at just above minimum wage, but can increase greatly with more expierience and seniorism.

Working Conditions

• Chefs are involved with hot elements, ovens, knives, wet floors, crowded areas, loud noise all the time.

Related Occupations

• If I could not get in to this career or I have a change of mind, I would want to be a firefighter. The same as my dad. I think it would be really good, but hard job.
