We celebrate Christmas Day on the 25th of December. We also celebrate Christmas Eve on the 24th and Boxing Day on the 26th of December.

Children (and adults!) have advent calendars in December. We open them everyday. Most advent calendars have chocolates inside.

Christmas is an important holiday in the United Kingdom. Most people do not work on Christmas Day. A lot of people spend Christmas with their families.

On Christmas Eve, the 24th of December, Santa Claus visits every child in the UK. He leaves them presents if they are good. If they are bad, he leaves them a lump of coal.

Christmas Dinner

• At the table, we pull Christmas crackers. Crackers have a joke, a paper hat and a toy inside. We wear our hats at the table and read out the jokes.
