O Early Learning Standards- Expectations for the learning and development of young children
O Content Standards- Description of what children should know and be able to do related to a particular content area
O Performance Standard- level of performance of the knowledge or skill in relationship to a Benchmark
O Benchmarks- Specific description of the knowledge or skill a child should acquire at a certain point. Usually tied to an age or grade level
O Program Standards- Expectations for the quality of schools and educational settings
