All India Management Association (AIMA)

The All India Management Association (AIMA) was created as an apex body of professional management with active support of the Government of India and Industry in 1957. AIMA is a group - A body to pool management thoughts in the country, A forum to develop a national managerial ethos, An organisation to facilitate the furtherance of the management profession in the country.

On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration of AIMA, His Excellency President of India Mr. APJ Abdul Kalam declared 21st Feb. is to be observed as Management Day, all over India.

AIMA's activities include Management Education, Management Development Programmes, National Events, Competitions, Research, Publication and Testing Services. AIMA conducts the

prestigious Management Aptitude Test (MAT) in which lacks of students appear. Over hundreds of AICTE approved institutions and University departments rely on MAT scores for admitting students in their MBA/PGDM programmes. MAT is approved by Ministry of HRD, Government of India as a National Entrance Test.

To focus more on education, the Centre for Management Education (CME), the education wing of AIMA, was established in 1993 as a full-fledged autonomous business school. Today AIMA-CME is the largest business school in the autonomous sector in the country in terms of student enrolments.

The PGDM Program of AIMA is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD- Govt of India.

PGDM Programme Structure

PGDM has a modular structure. There are four modules in this programme. The first, second and fourth modules are common to all programme participants. The third module is specialization module, where one has the option to select one specialization from four vital areas: Marketing, Finance, HR and Information Technology.

ELIGIBILITY

a) Graduation (10+2+3) from a recognized University. MAT / CAT / XAT / ATMA / any other state level entrance test appeared.

b) Candidates with minimum 50% in graduation (under 10+2+3 scheme) from a recognized university are exempted from the entrance test fro the admission.

Admission in PGDM can be granted on the basis of MAT / CAT / XAT /ATMA / any other state level test. Interested candidates with below 50% in graduation are required to appear in the test to be eligible for the interview. There will be no cut off score.

c) Interested candidates if not appeared in any mentioned test and with less than 50% in graduation, if desirous for admission in the same session, are required to appear in the aptitude test to be conducted by AIMA/ Study Centres from time to time. They may be given provisional admission with an undertaking that they will appear in the aptitude test whenever finalized.

d) The OMR – Registration form, which comes with prospectus is compulsory to purchase before the admission interview from CIMAGE admission office on payment of Rs. 500/- cash.

About the University

Allahabad Agriculture Institute - Deemed University was rechristened as Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (SHIATS) which is Christian Minority Institution under article 30 of he constitution of India in honour of the founder. The University is spread in 600 acres of land situated at Naini, Allahabad. The Degree awarded by the university is valid and recognized for Government / Private Jobs or for pursuing higher studies anywhere, in India or Aborad.

AAIDU Allahabad is authorised to award degrees as specified and notified under section 22 of University Grant Commission (UGC) Act 1956 (Notification No F.2-1/2006 U.3(A) dated 7th April 2006) issued by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

14. Minimum 70% attendance: Students have to maintain a monthly track record of minimum 70% attendance failing which they have to pay penalty. where as students with 100% attendance are rewarded.

Multiple exposure to the concept: The 'Ebinghaus Curve' of forgetting explains that retention of ideas which are exposed only once to the brain is only 10%, where as if there is multiple exposure (six times) the retention is as high as 90%.
