Project has began in March 2002, will be realized for two years
Aim is to create a front end e-assistance system integrating existing in house information
MAP system will assist civil servants by performing semantic analyses providing the employee with shortcuts to solutions therefore increasing the quality of service.

Strong involvement of users in the project, pilot phase will include extensive testing of the system prototype in public administrations.

PANISCO – proposal submitted under 8th call IST, ranked as the 3rd, received favorable reviews, not chosen because of lack of funds (min. 1,5 ME needed)
Reshaping of the project to better fit requirements of incoming 6th FP
Strong participation of partners from Candidate Countries (new partners also expected)

Overall goals of such activity:
Make a „jump” – not „step” towards eGovernment awareness in local®ional governments
enhance their activities towards 6th FP and ERA
Spread up of IDA standards and best practices in the field of eGovernment

Ideas for future endeavors – PANISCO project Envisioned work packages of the reshaped
proposal: defining eGovernment terms – creating canons of
knowledge about eGovernment in EU and candidate countries
carrying out courses and training on eGovernment subject – according to developed methodology
organizing eGovernment conference in CEEC in 2003 – 2005 (also support for existing ones) and final conference in Poland in 2005
creating an eGovernment Virtual Institute (as NoE).
