Senior classes offered something for everyone. Some seniors decided to go with a tougher schedule to prepare for college. The harder classes that seniors could take were college prep English, advanced math, physics, and computers. Some of the things that made these classes more difficult were the shortage of computers, requiring extensive out of class time to get assign­ments done, writing term papers in English, being introduced to trigonometry and calculus in advanced math, and memorizing the complicated formulas one must know for physics. A student could also choose classes that involved manual skills such as basic construction, autobody, welding and industrial education. These classes were especially good for students planning to attend a vocational college or get a job immediately after graduation.

Every class had a personality of its own. According to Mrs. Schmucker, this senior class was colorful because, "They had many different personalities, all of them unique and I liked them all. Some were vibrant, some dull, but in the classroom they made a good blend."

"They saw the benefit of working within the system so this year's seniors accomplished many of their goals," added Mr. Fritz.

Seniors' Experience

To most seniors, the day did not end at 3:17 p. m. With a few exceptions, the seniors were involved in extracurricular activities, from FBLA to football. Their strong leadership made it an active year for most organizations, and led to the development of excellent athletic teams.
