Olivia Calfee Olivia Calfee is a junior. She has been a member of the varsity cheer squad all three years and is currently a captain. Melissa Barnette, cheer coach, said “Even though our season has just begun, Olivia has been an incredible help to her coaches and her team. She has volunteered to help with our elementary school spirit days and has been willing to help wherever needed. Aside from being available, she has pushed herself in practice to gain new skills in tumbling, been a core part of her stunt group, and consistently encourages her teammates. Her skills are top notch in athleticism and in leadership.” Aside from cheer, Olivia is involved all throughout the school. She is a member of Student Government, producer on CHSLive, and on the Leadership team of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Olivia was chosen for Mrs. O’Bryan’s Student Advisory Club last year and also serves as a member of the Anchor Club and Beta Club. Her involvement doesn’t stop with school, Olivia’s community involvement includes the Bradley Cleveland Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership program and she is an active member of the youth group at First Baptist. Through church, she has been privileged to travel to Haiti and Panama to serve on mission teams. What Olivia loves most about being a student and athlete at CHS is the school allows her to be involved in so many different activities, get to know lots of people who also love CHS, and of course, Friday night lights at Benny Monroe Stadium.
