The Mediterranean sea

The Mediterranena sea is an intercontinental sea, included among Europe Africa and Asia.

It is connected

• on the East, to Black sea;

• on the south-east to Red sea and then Indian Ocean;

• on the west to Atlantic Ocean by Gibraltair Strait.

Its area is about 2.50 milion square kilometres

The average depth is about 1500 metres .

The deepest point is along the coasts of Peloponneus which is about 5000 kilometredeep
