Business and Technical Requirements
Ø Calix competes in a highly competitive global market for broadband equipment against companies who are often much larger than ourselves Ø Calix must innovate not only from a product perspective, but from an efficiency and effectiveness perspective as well Ø Calix business users depends on data integrity across these multiple enterprise applications. Ø From a tech perspective, we were looking for a platform for rapid integration of multiple platforms Ø Calix has a heterogeneous IT landscape. This includes both on premise and cloud (SaaS) applications Ø Able to build secure integrations regardless of the application or platform, Consolidate multiple integrations tools into one single platform for efficiency

Story of ICS Adoption Ø We at Calix evaluated many integration platforms and found Oracle ICS as the solution that
supports both our strategic and immediate goal. Ø Rapid deployments – Reduction in “go to market time” , Built in adaptors Ø Most cases we are able to build integrations in few hours. Interactive UI, helping us to
leverage existing team, does not require special skills Ø At Calix, we have completed our first cloud-to-cloud application integration project for
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Salesforce (SFDC) application using bi-directional data flows.
Ø We have implemented a total of 24 integrations in two weeks using out-of-the box Salesforce Adapter, SOAP-to-REST and REST-to-SOAP integrations
Ø Able to build SaaS to SaaS and SaaS to on-premises integrations in just a few clicks.
