It was a great meeting this month with a lot of people present. I really liked the way a LOT of our members stayed around and visited after the meeting for quite awhile. Mark your calendars for this coming Saturday, March 17, for the cruise to Mt. Magazine. We are meeting at the Neighborhood Market on the EAST side (Hwy. 412 East) of Springdale at 9:00 a.m. We will be cruising through some really pretty scenery and it will take about three hours to get there for lunch. Jeff Hunter has planned a great route and there are a lot of things in bloom down there to see. Also mark your calendars for Saturday, May 12. We are meeting with the Razorback Corvette Club from Ft. Smith and going to the Arkansas Naturals game. We did this a couple years ago and it was a lot of fun. We are also going to invite the folks from Four States Corvette Club in Joplin. We need to have 50 people come in order to reserve the seating area. Last week there were 24 people from our club sign up for the evening. I hope you can make it as it will be a great evening. I understand that Jeff Bell had another good car show meeting last Saturday. He is still in need of volunteers for several jobs. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. I want to once again thank Linda Slothower for the wonderful job on the newsletter and calendar. Thank you to club members who helped move furniture for my fiance’s foundation a couple weeks ago. President’s Corner ~ John Bakker Dear Corvetters:

It’s hard to believe another month has gone by and I’m writing another piece for the newsletter.

(See more on page 2.)

I hope you all have a great month and hopefully we’ll see you this Saturday. Thanks to all of you for making our club better and better. I have heard some really encouraging and optimistic comments from several of our members.

Thank You to NWACC Members! Two weeks ago my fiance’s foundation was given some $30,000 to $40,000 worth of furniture to be used in helping the poor. Joe and Jackie Cempura’s daughter-in-law was instrumental in helping us get this donation. Chuck Roach from Admiral Moving and Storage donated a truck and three men for the whole day to move the furniture. They were very professional and did an awesome job. Several of our club members came and donated most of a day to help. I want to thank Richard and Joanna Peak, Jack Lovin, Randy Imbeau, Nancy Layton, Charlie and Jenny Green, and Joe Cempura for their help. Johnny Waddle from Stephens Bank also came and helped. It was much appreciated and the people you already brought furniture to at Hillcrest Towers really appreciate it also.
