The goal of this program is to prepare students to fill the estimated 1.4 million jobs in the computer science and IT fields that will be available over the next 10 years. Coders and programmers are the architects and builders of the digital age.

The Coding, App & Game Design program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in coding, game and mobile app design, web site publishing and hosting, computer programming, software development, multimedia production, and IT management.

What are the classes about?• The classes in this program are designed to introduce students to the process and methods for producing computer software and mobile applications.

• These classes are also designed to familiarize students with the most popular and commonly used programming languages.

• This program also features the most commonly used digital imaging and multimedia production software and techniques.

• All the classes in this program heavily feature “hands-on” and “real world” learning.

What skills will students learn?• Students will acquire all the necessary skills to succeed in the fields of computer programming, mobile application development, game design, and software development. Students will work with the most popular software and application platforms.

• Students will also master the most popular multimedia software applications, including digital imaging software as well as audio/video editing software. Students will work in both 2D and 3D graphic environments. Students will learn how to edit, mix, and remix audio and video presentations.

• Students will learn how to create, host, and maintain websites. Students will be introduced to the most commonly used network hardware and software.

• Students will acquire the entrepreneurship skills necessary to run a business or work in IT management.

• Students will be introduced to the various hardware components that make up modern computer systems. Students will learn the troubleshooting and repair techniques necessary for maintaining computer systems.
