He helps us to see, hear and feel history. —Courteney – 9th Mrs. MacIntyre – 4th grade, Gause “She was the first teacher to get me interested in math. She would do daily problems and some would be deep thinking ones. You had to write out what you did and why. It really turned me on to math and inspired me to take harder math classes.” —Samuel – 10th Mrs. Anderson – 1st grade, Cape Horn-Skye “She had a nice way of teaching. She was an excellent reading teacher and really created interest in stories she read.” —Morgan – 8th Mrs. McCormick – 6th/7th grade Language Arts/Social Studies, CCMS “She was good at making connections with what we were learning and how it will be used later in life.” —Phoebe - 7th Mrs. Darling – 2nd grade, Gause “She was so patient. She helped you with anything until you got it. She made school so enjoyable you wanted to go. She is fun, sweet, caring and like a second mom. The class felt like family.” —McKenna – 9th Mr. Rainey – Social Studies, JMS “He was so outgoing and an overall genuine person. Anyone who needed to talk he would always be there to listen. He was passionate about teaching, about history, about ASB. He really got to know his students and made you feel that he was really there for you.” —Cassie - 12th Mrs. Grant – American Sign Language, WHS “She takes her teaching responsibilities far beyond what she needs to. She is the most compassionate person I can think of. She did not just push me in her class but in everything I do. She was a huge support for me and I know she is for all of her students.” —Savannah - 12th Mrs. Yingling – 3rd grade, Hathaway “She was very focused and organized in class. Looking back now I can see how it helped me learn to be focused and get things done. And she loved Sponge Bob!” —Cassie - 12th
