2017/2018
Chamber President
Greetings,
Welcome to the first edition
of the McLoud Chamber of
Commerce “Chamber Chat-
ter” newsletter. The goal of
the newsletter is to inform
our members and community
of Chamber activities, com-
munity activities and most
importantly promote our
chamber members and
businesses. Promote…we
plan to “Spotlight” a chamber
business in each addition. A
Spotlight business is a
business that has a special
event or promotion taking
place. Please inform the
Chamber office of any special
events or promotions you are
having. In addition to the
business “Spot Light” we will
also feature additional
business members in each
edition. Inform…our plan is to
use the newsletter to not only
promote chamber activities
but community activities as
well. Each edition will include
an event calendar that lists
chamber and community
activities. Please encourage
community or civic organiza-
tions to contact the chamber
office with information that
they would like included in the
calendar.
We hope you enjoy and find
this first edition to be a useful
tool to promote and inform
our membership and commu-
nity of the Chamber activities
and our member business-
es. As always, your input on
McLoud Clinic Pharmacy
recently celebrated its 13th
anniversary on September
27th! They are the only
pharmacy in McLoud and they
offer prescriptions, vaccinations
and free delivery in the McLoud
area. Recently they added
“Nutraceuticals” which are
natural supplements and
probiotics that replace
nutrients that RX’s sometimes
deplete and they will soon have
a MedSafe drop box for the
safe disposal of medications for
the public. The upcoming
National Drug Take-Back Day
spurred the McLoud Clinic
Pharmacy to hold a Health Fair
on Saturday, October 28th
from 10am-2pm. The event will
include an unused drug take-
back, flu shots, blood pressure,
blood sugar checks & much
more (see flyer on pg 2).
Pharmacist Lauren Palmer and
her 6 employees are very
active in the Chamber as well
as the community and we are
happy to put a SPOTLIGHT on
their commitment to the town
of McLoud.

Getting to Know Our Members
In 1996, a merger with Bank of
Commerce brought BancFirst to the town
of McLoud. Today, BancFirst McLoud and
its 11 employees (most of whom are
longtime residents of McLoud) are very
active in the community. Most recent
examples would be sponsorship of the
new “BancFirst KidZone” for the 2017
McLoud Chili Cook-Off or partnering with
other nearby BancFirst locations to
donate cases of copier paper to area
schools -including 15 cases (150 reams)
to McLoud Public Schools.
In January, a major remodel is planned
that will include a beautiful stone entry
and it will take approximately 6 months.
BancFirst has special promo for this
quarter for 3.25% APR consumer loans.

Foundation held its fundraising golf tournament at Trosper Park
Golf Course. 52 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day on the golf
course and with the help of a generous community raised over
$6,000. The Foundation has awarded scholarships to deserving
McLoud seniors and teachers grants to the tune of over
$35,000 over the last 5 years.
