Si repite su última estará en el círculo de ganadores. #2 Lynne’s Legacy – Ha esta yegua le gusta venir por atrás y si se pone las pilas puede estar en la contienda. El cambio de jockey puede ser favorable. #3 Proud ‘n’ Ready – La bajada de clase la debe de ayudar mucho. Si no se cansa estará entre las primeras.
Carrera 2 4 – 8 - 1 #4 Luck’s Royal Flush– Este es un equipo ganador sobre todo con caballos de dos años. Tiene muy buenos aprontes en las mañanas y tiene q estar entre los primeros. #8 Settle It – En esta carrera es difícil asegurar quienes estarán entre los primeros lugares. Me estoy basando en los aprontes y en el equipo entrenador/jinete y este los prepara muy bien. #1 Calder Vale – La velocidad de la carrera, puede dar una gran sorpresa. Úsenla en los exóticos.
Carrera 3 7 – 5 – 3 #7 Amada Rafaela – Esta es otra carrera donde los aprontes y la combinación entrenador/jinete juega un rol muy importante. Puede ser un gran factor hoy. #5 Hot Autumn – Tiene bastante velocidad y si aguanta estará en la contienda. #3 Patricia’s Ring – Cuando tenía dos años corrió muy bien. Ahora q ha madurado un poquito y esta mas grande y fuerte solo le queda mejorar.

Si le queda estamina hasta el final estará entre los primeros.
Carrera 5 5 – 7 – 3 #5 Mixed Emotions – Tiene velocidad y gano sus últimas dos carreras. Si repite sus dos últimas, no habrá quien la pare. #7 Batiquitos – En su última estuvo entre los punteros, pero se cansó. Tal vez esta distancia le sienta mejor. #3 Love a Honeybadger – Sin duda saldrá a la punta, si mantiene su energía, no sorprendería si gana.

Si todo está bien con ella, debe estar en la contienda. #2 The Tulip – Tuvo un problemita al comienzo de su última carrera y así y todo llego tercera. ¿El cambio de jockey será la clave? #3 Fahan Mura -Desde que Vlado la reclamo en enero ha ganado todas sus carreras. La suben de clase con mejores, pero si tiene alma de ganador estará entre las primeras.
Carrera 7 1 – 3 – 6 #1 West Palm Beach – Está buscando su segunda victoria consecutiva de una milla en la grama en este país y aunque la suben de clase va a estar en la contienda. #3 Exuberance – Un cambio muy positivo para este ejemplar. La bajan de clase y corre una distancia un poco mas corta q las anteriores. Hoy le toca Pereira por primera vez, y muchas veces, ese ángulo solo puede ser jugado en las ventanillas. #6 Pursuing the Dream – Llego del otro lado del océano hace un poco mas de un mes a perseguir el sueño americano. Ha sido criada para correr en la grama y tiene mucha velocidad. Esperemos que su primera carrera en California la haya preparado mejor para esta segunda faena.

#14 Mendelssohn – Entra en la carrera con el mejor número de TG en el campo. De hecho fue el mejor por mucho. Simplemente triturado en ése Derby de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos y parecía tan bueno como cualquier corredor que he visto que viene en el derby. Ningún corredor ha ganado alguna vez aquí q viene de una victoria en Dubai. Pero, creo que ésta será la excepción. #11 Bolt d'Oro – Lo nombraron atraves de Hussein Bolt el olímpico, este corredor ha sido batalla probado. Él emparejado ceros en la escala de TG y creo que un paso gigante hacia adelante vendrá. Corrió grande de dos año de edad, un niño de tres años y aunque Justify le gano en su última, ese corredor agarro la punta facil y hoy el ritmo escenario debe ser muy diferente. No sería ninguna sorpresa para mí si Bolt se encuentra en el círculo de ganadores después de la carrera. #7 Justify – Este es el potro que toda la prensa le gusta. Baffert le gusta, le gusta el público de apuestas, los números de la hoja... todo el mundo le gusta. Pero él nunca ha corrido de dos años, nunca ha enfrentado a ningún tipo de presión y solo tiene 3 carreras. Puede ganar, pero yo lo voy a usar en segundo y tercero.

The jockey change is favorable. #3 Proud 'n' Ready – The class drop should help much. If she does not get tired she could hit the exacta.

Race 4 4 – 2 – 5 #4 La La Land - His last race was very good. He started slowly, but closed with lots of energy. He is a strong contender today. #2 East Rand - That last race was very good. He cannot be ignored. #Choo Choo – He is the speed of the race. Stamina is the question, but he can certainly be among the contenders at the wire.
Race 5 5 - 7 - 3 #5 Mixed Emotions - He has speed and he won his last two races. If he repeats his last two, there will be no stopping him. #7 Batiquitos - In his latest he was between runners early in a hot pace and he got tired. Maybe this distance will fit him better. #3 Love a Honeybadger - Undoubtedly will be the early speed of the race, and if he maintains his power, it wouldn't be a surprise if he wins.
Race 6 6 – 2 – 3 #6 Bernina Star - She returns to racing after a break of four months. They drop her in class with a new jockey. If everything is OK with her, she is a must use in the contest. #2 The Tulip – She had a little problem at the start of her last race and even so she came in third. Will jockey change be the key? #3 Fahan Mura –Since the Vlado claim in January she has won all of her races. They confidently move her up in class, but the belief here is that she will be able to handle the raise.
Race 7 1 – 3 – 6 #1 West Palm Beach - Looking for her second consecutive victory at a mile on the grass in this country and although she moves up in class she still looks best in the race. #3 Exuberance - A very positive change for this runner. They drop her in class and also cuts back in distance. Today she gets Pereira for the first time, and that has been a good angle at the windows. #6 Pursuing the Dream – She came here from the other side of the ocean, a little more than one month ago to pursue the American dream. She is certainly bred to run on the grass and has great speed. Let us hope that her first race in California has better prepared her for this second task.
Race 8 7 - 8 - 6#7 Quad - Ran very well in his first race in 2018. He can win here from wire to wire. #8 Seattle Encounter – Broke poorly in his debut. He can run better with a clean break. #6 Unusual Champ – He is dropping in class and has shown speed against more difficult. Class relief must help him today.
Race 9 9 - 10 - 5 #9 Incensed- I like the two outside runners the best. This one comes out of a one mile race. He has class, speed, our leading trainer and a hot rider. #10 Oiseau de La Guerre - The outside is always an advantage in these races down the hill. He loves this course and cannot be left out of your wagers. #5 Fortune of War – He closes like a rocket ship. Look for him in the Home Stretch.
Race 10 5 – 3 - 11 #5 Dad's a Gambler – I think my son names this runner! Returns to a sprint and he really should win here. #3 Bad Boy Leroy – He actually has the best number in the race and can be a factor here. #11 Zap Again – Looks like the speed of the race. If he gets an easy lead he may steal the race.
Race 11 5 - 6 - 2#5 Conquest Smartee - Responded to the class drop with an effort that almost won his last race. Today he breaks his maiden. #6 Harliss – Finished right behind in his last. Looks like a top contender. #2 Bob’s Bad Boy – Drops from MSW to MCL and can compete here.
InformationKentucky Derby CD Race 12 14 - 11 - 7#14 Mendelssohn – Enters the race with the best TG number in the field. In fact it was the best by far. He simply crushed in that UAE Derby and looked as good as any runner I have ever seen coming into the derby. No runner has ever run coming here off a win in Dubai. But, I think that this one will be the exception. #11 Bolt d’Oro – Named for Hussein Bolt the Olympian, this runner has certainly been battle tested. He just paired zeros on the TG scale and I think a giant move forward will be coming. He ran great as a two year old, great as a three year old and although he was beaten handily by Justify in his last, that runner had it all his own way up front and today the pace scenario should be much different. It would be no surprise to me at all if he Bolt’s into the winners circle after the race. #7 Justify – This is the colt getting all the press. Baffert likes him, the betting public likes him, the sheet numbers like him…everybody likes him. But he has never raced as a two year old, he has never really faced any pressure and he is very lightly raced. He just might be this good, but I am personally betting against him winning.
