1. Oak Crest residents were informed on Thursday, 10/16/2014, that they may keep their “comcast.net” email address if they want.  If you continue using your existing Comcast account you will need to do two things during the Spring of 2015 as follows:

a. When the Erickson technician comes to your apartment tell him/her that you are keeping your “comcast.net” email address and keeping your existing cable modem (the box connected

between the wall and your computer).  You will pay your monthly bill to Comcast as you do now for Internet email service.

b. Pay for Oak Crest Connect service on your monthly bill from Erickson. You will not be allowed to opt-out of Oak Crest Connect.

Why pay twice for Internet service?  We can show you how to create a new free email address and avoid paying twice for Internet service.

7. The day you sign your agreement with Erickson that you are satisfied that all work is complete is the day your Address Book (contact list) and all emails are deleted from your comcast.net account. Don’t wait until the 2nd Quarter of 2015 to convert!

8. When your comcast.net email account is deleted you will not be able to use Norton as your virus protection (copyright violation).

The OCV Computer Group recommends:AVG Free Antivirus 2015 => at http://www.avg.com (may change)ZoneAlarm Free Firewall 2015 => at http://www.zonealarm.com
