Focused on Life –Ergonomics of the Highest Degree

All Natural Movement

EMCIA III places all key operating functions and dental instrumentation within easy reach, so you can perform all movements with natural posture using natural motions. Unnatural movements and repositioning are kept to an absolute minimum.

Ideal Assistant Positioning

The logical arrangement of EMCIA III’s instruments and materials optimally integrates the dental assistant into the dental environment, granting easy access and minimizing awkward turns and movements. Easily swiveling back and forth from one side to the other, the assistant is always ideally positioned to provide support.

Easy Access

The thin, rounded headrest lets the operator change the position while keeping a constant distance to the patient‘s mouth. The design of the headrest’s inner sur-face lets the patient‘s head turn 45° to the left and right without any ear closure. The headrest movement – rang-ing between +8° and –25° – matches the movement of the neck, so the head does not slide against it.

Optimum Location

Both the 3-way syringe and vacuum syringe are located in the holder for easy, natu-ral pick-up.

All Natural Foot Control

The foot control is easy to operate with natural movement and posture. The upward/downward pedal raises the chair, while the forward/backward switch moves the backrest in a very intuitive and human motion.

Minimum Space

The confi guration of the cabinet and spaceline are designed to require minimal space and provide ample room for natural movement of dentist, as-sistant, and patient. With this cabinet, an assistant can shift from an intraoral task to an extraoral task in a seated position simply by changing body direction. An operator working alone can switch to an extraoral task just by shifting the stool slightly to the left.

Working in Comfort

The ergonomic design of the syringes lets the assist-ant work comfortably in a natural posture. The three-way syringe fi ts easily in the hand, allowing precise control of air and water.

The design of the vacuum syringe’s tip is based on the distance and access angle of the retromolar triangle when it is in the patient’s mouth. Both syringes are designed to angle naturally toward the treatment area when the assistant is holding them and looking at the area.

Perfect Positioning

Handpieces are positioned in the lower right area of the tray,

so you can pick them up and replace them with a natural,

consistent movement of the forearm – no elbow movement

needed. The instrument area is also optimally positioned, for

complete ease of movement.

Shock-Free Chair Movement

The vertical up-and-down movement of the EMCIA III is fully motorized and extremely smooth. Starting and stopping of chair movement is virtually shock-free.

Changing to Slow-Speed Mode for

Microscope

Slow-speed mode is easy to implement –you adjust the focus of the microscope by slow movements of the chair. There’s no need to touch the microscope and risk shaking it with your hand.

Comfortable, Contoured Upholstery

The upholstery of the soft, semi-bucket seat is cushioned for perfectly-contoured support of the patient’s body, providing warmth and comfort – and virtually elimi-nating patient fatigue, even during long treatment sessions.

Auto Cup-Filler and Easy-to-Detach Basin

1. Drive air fl ows into an Anti-Suck-Back Diffuser (ASBD) within the capsule. Air in the ASBD is pressurized through centrifugal force created by the impeller rotation.

2. Through the centrifugal force and rotation of the impeller, air continues to fl ow into the ASBD and remains pressurized even after drive air is stopped.

3. The pressurized air in the ASBD is re-leased to the outside at the bottom of the head.

4. Exhaust air is also directed through the ASBD and released at the bottom of the head.

5. The pressurized air in the ASBD pre-vents depressurization in the head, there-fore enabling true zero suck-back.
