Approximately 1/4 mile of the Park's shoreline provides one of the best examples of an intact beach and dune system in Connecticut where the State- threatened piping plover occasionally nests. Please avoid areas marked as beach nesting bird habitat. Handicapped accessible beach wheelchairs available. Sseason passes are sold through the Parks and Recreation Department. Due to COVID-19 public safety concerns, access to the beach for the summer 2020 is available to season pass holders only. Lifeguards on duty, conditions permitting, during the summer. &nbsp;Follow signs to the adjacent Eugene O'Neil Theater to find this site off of Great Neck Road.
