    Christian Meditation in the Chapel We follow the format of the World Community for Christian Meditation ( There is music, a short recorded talk relating to Christian Life/meditation, 25 minutes of mantra-based meditation, then a little more music. We then share a cuppa together. This is a friendly and open group welcoming all to join us.. Fridays, 7 February to 18 December, incl school holidays, 10 to 11am Cost: Suggested $5 donation

    si lents i lent retreatsretreats making space to reflect on our life and spiritual journey WellSpring retreats offer a safe, welcoming space in silence, for prayer, rest, reflection and creativity. All facilitators are spiritual directors and will be available to spend time with each person daily. Silent retreats are held in peaceful surroundings with single room accommodation. A deposit is required upon booking.

    Autumn Retreat Facilitators: Mary and Tim McCowan A gentle invitation to come aside from the daily rounds of life to nurture your soul and to reflect on your life within the colourful beauty of autumn.     Retreat Day at the Community of the Transfiguration Facilitator: Ann Lock Come away for the day to visit the Holy Community of Transfiguration in Teesdale, near Geelong. We will have the opportunity to meet with members of the Community, enjoy their delicious food and welcome, join in midday prayer and spend some time in personal reflection in the beautiful surroundings of the monastery.     Wild Man/Wise Man: Facilitators: Tim McCowan Men’s Retreat by the Sea and Grant Stewart Come away for a relaxed, quiet weekend to reflect and listen to the yearnings of your inner life, in the respectful company of other men on a similar journey. Rest and contemplate as you walk in the bush or on the beach, bike-ride or kayak, swim or surf, hear evocative stories and the sacred silence, all with good food and coffee, at two cosy homes in Airey’s Inlet. Come to WellSpring for a non-residential personal retreat using one of our prayer rooms for consecutive days or over several weeks. Cost: Variable Men’s Group Facilitator: Peter Leaver We meet regularly to share thoughts about our life journeys. This group offers a safe, inclusive, non- judgemental place to discuss issues from a male perspective, and to support each other. Fortnightly on Wednesdays, 5 February to 9 December, 7.30 to 9.30pm Cost: By contribution A Contemplative Circle Facilitator: Chris Page A place to explore one’s inner life with others through meditation, readings, poems, symbols and story. Drawing on Parker Palmer’s bestseller, A Hidden Wholeness: The Journey toward the Undivided Life, as well as Christian mysticism and contemporary wisdom. The Contemplative Circle is a deeply spiritual approach to identifying our ‘inner landscape’. Third Wednesday of the month from 19 February to 18 November, 10am to 12.30pm Cost: $36 / $31 Dream Reflections Facilitators: Various A monthly reflection time of listening to and sharing our dreams, leading to a deeper understanding of our personal and communal journey to wholeness. Second Thursday of the month from 13 February to 10 December, 1 to 3pm Cost: By contribution Growing in Silence Facilitator: Leslie Hanger This is a monthly gathering to spend time in silence through meditation, personal reflection and journaling. Silence opens us to God providing a pathway for God to communicate and transform us. Each meeting also has a time allocated for group sharing. The group is invited to join Prayer at Noon in the chapel from 12 to 12:30. Fourth Thursday of the month, 27 February to 26 November (except September session, which is on Thursday 17 September), 10am to 12noon Cost: $36 / $31 Facilitating for Peace Facilitator: John Steward To bring peace, we must first be at peace in ourselves. In two sessions, we will learn to journey with a few others through a study guide which features Rwandans who have found peace. The March session will introduce parts 1-5 of the Study Guide, To Live Well. Participants then try using the material. In the April session, we will discuss the feedback and introduce parts 6-10. Participants will need a copy of From Genocide to Generosity by John Steward (available from WellSpring bookstall). Saturday 7 March and Saturday 4 April, 10am to 1pm Cost: $36 / $31 per session Introduction to the Enneagram Facilitator: Marg Loftus We’re all on a unique journey toward self-awareness but we often forget to look at the world through different perspectives. The Enneagram explains the ‘why’ of how we think, feel and behave and begins to change the way we see ourselves and others. As a sacred map to the soul, it shows us how we can develop our gifts and come to terms with our greatest interpersonal, emotional and spiritual challenges, pointing us back to our True Self.
