Two important days of the week

Wednesday – Grocery store ads come out in the Mississippi Press and Sun Herald

Sunday – Weekly coupon inserts There is usually a different amount each week. Smart Source, Red Plum, P&G. Holiday weekends usually none.

Getting Started

Get Sunday paper Mississippi Press is $1 at Walmart now

You get the same coupons as in Sun Herald ($1.50)

Make sure when you buy the paper you check for inserts before you buy

You should know how many inserts will be in your paper (other bloggers)

Keep inserts for a few months. I keep mine in a plastic tub with hanging folders to sort by date

Time to Plan

Start with Price Matching Everyone will be different

Each family eats differently and buys different products For couponing, it’s better to not be brand loyal

you will still have a few items you won’t want to give up

On Wednesdays (or sometime before your shopping trip) Go through weekly grocery ads/look at their site

It will take you a while to figure out what prices are good

I save the most money weekly by price matching!!

Add coupons to Price Match

I use someone else’s coupon database.Cuckooforcoupondeals.com

There are coupons listed in this database from tearpads, online printables and Sunday paper coupons all listed with expiration dates and

where they can be found

You may not have the coupons she has in her database. A lot of Sunday insert coupons are regional, and unfortunately our region doesn’t get a lot of the really good coupons

Example

Nabisco Honey Maid Grahams on sale at Publix Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) for $4.49

There are $1/1 (one dollar off of one) coupons on the Nabisco cookies Facebook page.

So at Walmart, you price match the Grahams from Publix then use two $1/1 coupons making 2 boxes $2.49 or $1.25 eachDepending on your cashier, it may be cheaper. Lately some of my usual checkers

said they can use Walmart prices for the BOGOsI got these recently for $.49 each!
