    The course requires ‘hands on’ purchase of food and ingredients, food preparation, cooking and presentation for a sit-down evening meal on the day. The aim is to learn and develop cooking skills that enable the following of recipes

    to provide a good, tasty, healthy meal. Critical is that we have fun laughing. There will be shared costs for the purchase of herbs, spices, food and ingredients allow $20-$30. No experience is required. Members need to be

    happy to contribute to all aspects of the course including the final clean up. This is a hands-on course. Members may be requested to bring some kitchen implements as required.

    Coil Baskets ( Beginners ) An age-old technique: Coil Basket making. Baskets were one of the first vessels used by cultures around the world. No one human group can be credited for their invention, but baskets and containers were

    valuable items born out of necessity and universally used to gather, carry and store essentials Any fibrous or pliable materials (anything that will bend and form a shape) can be used in Basket making. In our “Coil Basket Making Class,” you will learn the technique used in sewing your own Coil Basket. We will be using Raffia and Strappy

    21CYC001: Cycling Group Type: Long Course

    Most rides are 40-55 km on the Bay trail, Westernport trails and the Bellarine Peninsula. We also venture on the

    Peninsula and Eastlink trails and some of the city trails during the year. We include some 2-4 day excursions to country destinations e.g. South Gippsland and Geelong.     A very social mix of male & female cyclists; easy-paced who ride exclusively on bicycle tracks on the Mornington Peninsula; the distance of rides between 25 km & 30 km with a coffee break halfway. Twice a year the group goes

    Bolivia is a card game which can be played in groups of 3,4 or 6 players. It is necessary that members can play at

    This is a fun and energetic way to keep your mind and body healthy, with lots of laughter and friendship thrown in. There is no need to bring a partner along (although that would be good). Please note that this is NOT Highland

    dancing, but a form of social dancing involving couples of dancers, as part of a set of 8.     This is an opportunity to join with like-minded others to explore waterways on the Peninsula and other parts of

Suitable waterways on the Peninsula are limited so trips further afield are envisaged e.g. the Yarra, the Maribyrnong, the Goulburn, the Barwon. Some of these trips will necessitate

    Introducing At the Flicks (ATF) to showcase movies of merit, based on production values, outstanding performances

    or noteworthy storylines over different genres, including at times, “showcase” films. This film group is scheduled to meet on the first and third Thursday of the month in Terms 1 and 2 to see films at the Rosebud Cinemas, however, until Thursday screenings recommence, At the Flicks will meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Film

    sessions will generally be in the afternoon but could be late morning or on another day of the week, depending on what is screening and at what times. Leader: Rowena Gipps Email: [email protected]

    An email will be sent out at least 2 days before each session advising details of the film to be seen. Members need to confirm via return email prior to 5 pm of the day before the film session if they are attending or otherwise

Rather than seating everyone at one long table where it is easy to feel left out of the conversation, each table is limited to about 6 people so that you have a chance of chatting with everyone on your table.     This course will be held outdoors. This course will revert to an indoor class when COVID-19 restrictions allow This

    course focuses on Yang Style Tai Chi 24. It does not suit beginners. Members are required to have done previous class with Bev. We will begin each session with Qi Qong exercise. I have studied Yang style, Tai Chi, locally for the past 15 years with the Tai Chi Kung Fu Institute. Since 2016 I have been instructing a group of beginners locally in

    the Southern Peninsula. .

    You must have some prior experience in practicing Tai Chi. Tai Chi Wand is required for this course. Contact the tutor for details. This a sequential course.
