    < 100ns Transient Response Reduces Capacitor Size and Cost*

    The MAX8632 reduces output capacitor size and cost on the VDDQ and VTT supplies, making it the lowest costDDR memory power-supply solution. The VDDQ supply is a 15A DC-DC controller that uses Maxims proprietary

    Quick-PWM fast-transient architecture and responds to load transients in less than 100ns, reducing output capaci-tance requirements. Protections include undervoltage (UVP), overvoltage (OVP), overcurrent, and digital soft-start. TheVTT supply is a 3A sink/source LDO with integrated switches, requiring only 20F of ceramic capacitance for stability.

    The MAX1707 is the highest power light-management IC (LMIC) that uses an I 2C interface to drive all theLEDs in a cell phone. It drives WLEDs with excellent current matching for main and subdisplay backlighting andcamera flash. The RGB LED control provides 32k colors to render smooth color transitions. The charge pump usesproprietary adaptive 1x/1.5x/2x modes and low-dropout current regulators to drive up to seven LEDs for main andsubdisplays, achieving current matching of 0.3% and up to 92% efficiency (83% average over battery life).Simultaneously, it supports up to 400mA for camera flashes using multi-LED modules or single high-brightness LEDs.
