Dear Parent,

Greetings from ABPS

The famous writer Khalil Gibran once wrote:-

“We give but little when we give our possessions It is when we give off ourselves that we truly give.....” How true this is in the current context of not just education but life itself....

An adolescent of today goes through multitudes of problems which were unheard of in the recent past. Sociological, physiological and psychological problems have entwined the youth of today like the tentacles of the octopus, thus leading to a totally confused adolescent. Are we as teachers and parents nourishing the child’s psyche?

Technology abuse is breaking the wholeness of humanity. It is deadening man’s will, numbing his thoughts and automating him. The misuse of electronic gadgets adds to the degradation of our culture and educational environment. As responsible adults do we spend qualitative time with our children, in addressing issues of their concern?

The need of the day is the call for EDUCARING rather than EDUCATING the school goers. It is high time that education changes its connotation with the present times. Education needs to be enriched with human values. Caring in terms of education means to nurture, to promote growth by providing support, encouragement, affection, training and tutelage, to ensure physical and mental wellness of the child through fourteen years of schooling. Thus the challenging role of us as educators is paramount in educaring.

Keeping in mind the theme of the year 2017-18 “Where Dreams take Flight”, we at school will continue to provide ample opportunities for the realization of the individual potential and worked minutely toward the development of abilities and interests, for the full flowering of each child’s personality.

“School is a building that has four walls, with tomorrow inside.”- Lon Watters So dear parents let’s work together for a new tomorrow----a tomorrow moulded by us---for we are the Architects of Impressionable Minds----In conclusion I quote Daniel Webster who said:- “If we work on marble, it will perish,

If we work on brass, time will efface it, If we rear temples, they will crumble into dust,

But if we work on immortal minds and instil into them Principles, We are engraving upon tablets, which no time will efface;

But will brighten and brighten to all eternity.” Wish you a Happy Reading

With Best Wishes,
