Code BRIEF TITLE Decades The Brief Background Design a range of poster prints based on the concept of Decades. The poster prints will be sold during Market Week at Leeds College of Art Pop up Shop Concept/Proposition Decades – Design and print a series of poster prints around the concept of Decades. The prints will portray a sense of the nostalgia and popular fads of that particular decade. Once again the college is offering all students another opportunity to sell some of your work to the general public in partnership with Leeds’ most successful arts organisations. Leeds College of Art, in partnership with Artsmix* (www.artsmix.co.uk ) is proud to announce the launch of ‘MADE’ a pop-up shop of affordable work to be held in the glass foyer of the Blenheim Walk Building on 17-19 th May. Considerations Mandatory Requirements How will they be printed? What will they be printed on? What is the focus? Type, image, or both? How will you sell them? Will they be packaged? How will they be displayed? The brief is fairly open but you must stick to dimensions of a conventional A2 poster print. Target Audience Deliverables Attendees of the pop-up shop. Typically students and groups with an interest in art and design. A series of three prints portraying the 70’s 80’s and 90’s.
