ARIS (Architecture of Integrated Information Systems) is an approach to enterprise modeling
It offers methods for analyzing processes and taking a holistic view of process design, management, work flow, and application processing.
The ARIS also is a powerful business process modeling tool. Developed by IDS Scheer, Germany.

The traditional process modeling and management methods, when enterprise describe the process of business, usually uses VISIO to create flowchart, then adds process directions document and attach relevant enclosures.
ARIS is making the node element model first, then assembled the related node in the process view into the process.
