Diaspora Sdn Bhd, a Bumiputera company was established in 2007, comprises personnel full of

experience within their domain. Our human capital has strong knowledge and expertise which

we believe is the basis of our excellent service delivery in meeting customer expectations.

Diaspora Sdn Bhd had been certified with MS ISO/IEC 27001:2013 in December 2014. By

following the ISO standard we can ensure our client information is securely treated by our

policy and procedure.

Our activity offers professional services with deep know-how in the spectrum of ICT

infrastructure such as:

To achieve our mission and vision our business activity is divided into three categories which is

Professional ICT Services, Management Systems Services and Technology Products. In

Professional IT Services, DIASPORA provides professional and engineering services to our

clients. To complement our professional services, Diaspora also have a range of network and

security Technology Products available to offer to our potential clients.

1. Professional ICT Services

1.1 Security Posture Assessment (SPA)

The emergence of more varied, targeted attack techniques from the malware and hacking

communities, combined with growing regulations of organizational security standing from both

government agencies and private industry watchdogs have resulted in a climate in which

businesses are increasingly being required to assess their technological vulnerabilities and

security defense mechanisms on a regular basis. Thus, Security Posture Assessment (SPA) is

essential for every organization. This exercise will examine and test confidentiality, integrity

and availability (CIA) of the information infrastructure used by the organization. International

Standard such as ISO/IEC 27001:2013 , OPST (OSSTM Professional Security Tester) and OWASP

are been used as our benchmark while performing our activities.

Assessment activity includes of:

• Network Architecture and Device Review

• Internal and External Penetration Test

• Security Policy and Procedure Development and Review

• Web Application and Database Assessment

• Server or Host Assessment

• User Desktop Assessment

• Wireless Assessment

SPA is an important process that proactively carried out to ensure that the infrastructure and

application architecture implemented is secured from any malicious activities. Diaspora Sdn

Bhd has been appointed as panel of consultant by Cyber Security Malaysia to perform

Vulnerability Assessment for Malaysian Critical Network Information Infrastructure (CNII)

project.


1.2 ISMS Development, Implementation, Maintaining and

Auditing

We are pleased to offer the best consulting services to our clients. We anticipate that all

organization is adopting an internationally recognized best practice (ISO/IEC 27001:2013) to

implement Information Security Management System (ISMS) for its ICT Department in order to

provide secure ICT infrastructure and solutions to the organization.

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is a unique standard for information security encompassing all

requirements for information security including Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability

(CIA). It provides a comprehensive set of controls to address all issues related to information

security. ISO/IEC 27001:2013 aims to provide a common basis for developing organizational

security standards, effective security management practice and provide confidence in inter-

organizational and intra- organizational information exchange.

Hence, ISO 27001 certification will accrue the following benefits :

• Improve overall information security

• Improve customer confidence and satisfaction

• Improve compliance to security policies and requirements

• Provide competitive edge

• Facilitate continuous security improvement


1.3 Infrastructure Implementation: Structured Cabling and Wireless

At Diaspora we also have dedicated team who is capable in providing structured cabling for

Local Area Network infrastructure. We have implemented cabling in various forms such as

Fiber Optic, UTP (Cat 5 and Cat 6), Telephone or Coaxial. We follow ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.1-1-

2001 and TIA-526-14-A standards for our cabling works. We believe that good physical

infrastructure implementation could contribute to a decent network performance and

convenient for future maintenance.


2. Other Management Systems Services

the International Organization For Standardization (ISO) that is applicable for all type and

size of organizations. An international standard with the objectives to improve the

System established by the International Organization For Standardization (ISO) that is

applicable for all type and size of organizations. A standard with the objectives to improve

the surrounding environment.

3. OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Management System An OHS

Management System formerly known as BS 8800 that is applicable to all type and size of

organizations. A standard with the objectives of ensuring that a healthy and safe workplace

is provided to all employees, visitors, vendors, and subcontractors.
