This is the original image of Katy that I have chosen as a possible cover for my Digi-pak; this picture has no filters or edits. I like this picture because it is similar to conventional covers, it has good representation of the star image and her facial expressions give of a feeling of mystery; pulling the audience in. Using a close up of this magnitude to me is perfect as she can engage with her audience but not give away too much.

This was a vintage filter edit, although plain it makes her look very interesting and gives off a sense of realness.

Immediately I attempted to do something different so I used a cartoon-multiscreen edit. The colours are vibrant and match the fun mood of the music video. I don't think I will use this for my final album cover as I do not feel that it engages the audience enough.

This edit is called 'Cyanotype', I found it very interesting that it had hints of colour that made the picture look magical and enchanted.

This rainbow effect uses colour as a main feature to represent the mood of the song being versatile fun and shocking.

Using colour just her for body goes with the theme of bright colours and imitates the previous images we have used of face covered paint. I like the use of purple as its quite a neutral colour as its not too feminine.

I wanted to test Fonts for 'Icona Pop I LOVE IT' so first I used the original image to test it out. It took me a long while to find a font that I found attractive, but eventually I found 'AR BONNIE'.

This edit is specifically for a paint effect, its supposed to show off her as being a natural character as well as using hints of splattered paint. I feel that it also shows an inner meaning, a story behind the picture because her pose is quite serious and the paint represents many different flavoured moods.

the small hint of colour also symbolises a music frequency effect, this is compatible to the music being the centre of the album. The colours are bright and versatile and it combines well with the originality of the picture.

The effect is similar to the result of sun when a picture is taken, but this edit takes an alternative root, instead of using simple yellows it has hints of purple, pink, green and orange.

This was similar to the effect used earlier on, however the colours are deeper and lighter.

the Coloured sun-rays overlapping the picture almost looks 3D, it represents energy and authenticity.

This is similar to the rainbow edit, however it doesn't cover the face as much as the previous one. This doesn't take away the centrality of Katy and still uses colour.
