Carl the shark had always wanted to live on a farm but he did not have any legs to walk on sand. He swam in the water close to Farmer Ned’s farm each day, watching as the animals moved

around the barn.

One day Farmer Ned’s wife noticed how sad Carl looked so she arranged for all of the animals to walk down to the sea to visit Carl. They all enjoyed it and didn’t think it was that far to walk

even though it may have been quicker to travel in the car.

Shelly the Shetland pony lived in a sheltered stable. She loved going outside with her owner Sheila; she would run and run around the square-shaped field. She didn’t like the shingly

stones she had to walk across to get back to her barn - they were sharp! Best of all, Shelly loved going to shows to see other

ponies and to show them how good she was at running.

Running made Shelly hot so Shelia would give her a shower with the hosepipe to keep her cool and fresh. When she was home she loved to eat shrubs, leaves and grass for her tea.
