Summary of Restructuring Recommendations and Opportunities

Dear Hartford Public Schools’ Families, Friends, and Colleagues,

Together we are reimagining and restructuring our schools. On December 19, 2017, based on your input, I presented our collective vision to the Board of Education. I invite your feedback on this comprehensive, multi-year plan to overcome our challenges and reimagine and restructure Hartford Public Schools to ensure high-quality teaching and learning for all students. This document provides a quick look at the recommendations for each of our schools over the next three years. As has been my hope and commitment throughout this process, your thoughts and ideas are welcome. Together, we are creating a stronger, more equitable school district designed to serve all students well – a plan built by the entire community that will benefit the entire community.
