Welcome to LaGrange College!We have been eagerly awaiting your arrival and are very excited about this academic year. There are new faculty to meet, new buildings to explore, friends to make, and ideas to ponder as a new chapter in your life begins. We encourage you to do the best you can in all you take on. During First Week, we will do our best to introduce you to what you can expect from your experience at LaGrange College as well as what we expect of you. THE SOCIAL CODEThe Social Code attempts to instill in every member of the student body a sense of moral and community responsibility. As such, LaGrange College expects its students to adhere to community standards. 9:00 p.m. Do You Remember Being a 5th Grader? Game Show. Look ...we know you’re smarter than a 5th grader; otherwise, you wouldn’t be here, right? But what do you remember about being a 5th grader?? entertaining (we swear!) presentation of a variety of college dilemmas. Look for some familiar faces on stage .... Price Theater.

11:00-11:50 Meet with your Cornerstone class for some reflection and wrap-up and last-minute preparations for the regatta!

12:30-2:00 The Y’Gotta Regatta and Lake Property Cookout. Join the LC Navy as it braves the red waters of West Point Lake! Even if you don’t have a boat, come join the hilarity. NOTE: Lunch will be served ONLY at the Regatta.

Driving Directions to the Lake Property: From the traffic light at the intersection of Vernon and Forrest, head south on Vernon (Hwy 29 S). You’ll stick on this road for 9 miles. Pass Burger King and Locos Restaurant. You’ll know you’re close when you pass Ribitz, a small yellow store with a dancing green frog painted on the side. Take the Long Cane Park road to the right. Take the second left

(about ½ mile) and follow the drive. You’re there!

At this point, students are free for the weekend. We encourage you to hang around campus for your first official College Weekend! We’ve got loads of fun planned. Be careful. Be safe. Have fun.
