1999 – Idea competition for the urban harbor areas
2001 – Business promotion plan for Aarhus stated: A Multimedia House in Aarhus before 2008
2001 – City plan
Special action plan for urban harbor areas
2002 - Construction projects analysis – next 10 year in Aarhus
2002 and 2003 – Open citizens consultations
2003 – September: Master plan for urban harbor areas
2003 – City Council agree on investment plan
2004 - City Council agree on location
2005 – Money for the project planning phase on ’Multimedia House’
2007 – Choise of tender and competition formats, determination of core values and vision
2008 – Clustering of projects from several to one, competition brief, partnership with Realdania Foundation
