Overview:Since 2009, due to lack of funding from sponsors, the TV show was cancelled and the company Weijers Domino Productions filed for bankruptcy in May 2010. And no more records were broken.
Domino Day Brief
Purpose:To increase the popularity of domino toppling and gather enough public support (via social media outlets/ online petition) so that it puts pressure on the media to bring Domino Day back.

Target Audience:15 – 30 year olds
Key Message: You can play a part in making something great
Domino Day Brief
Strategy:Get people involved and proud of themselves by making something great. A giant domino structure. Add sense of urgency by having them race against the clock to build the structure. Use minisite and social media to spread the word and fuel domino pieces for structure (like kickstarter.com)
Domino Day Brief
Stage 1, Voting for your Favourite Structure to be built. Concept with highest number of Facebook likes wins.
Stage 2, Tweets = domino tiles. Check the building team’s progress on tumblr.
Getting Involved
The mini-Website will:
Monitor the number of tweets and facebook likes, Show how many votes for favourite domino structure concept
Show a feed from tumblr with all the designs people have made on their domino tiles
Track users’ domino pieces on the floor plan
Livestream progress on the giant domino structure being built.
