Sound Tight™ Compression Seals are a vital ingredient in the effectiveness of out sound reduction doors. These one piece continuous seals are designed to virtually “lock out” sound, nut the unique design also allows the door to operate smoothly, close normally and utilize standard builder’s hardware. L-Frame™ Door Bottom This revolutionary yet simple design works in conjunction with the Sound Tight™ seals and Gravity Glide™ hinges to stop sound transmission at the door bottom. There are no moving parts to wear out, break or bind. Once initially adjusted, no further maintenance is required.

Double Astragal Pairs of acoustical doors have traditionally challenged the best of door designs. With our revolutionary double astragal seal, this problem area has finally been tamed. Now you can expect superior acoustical performance from pairs without the space reduction and complications of mullions.

Door Glazing Our acoustic doors with vision lites have been tested as dual glazed with an impressive 864 square inches of glass. When utilized in conjuction with our gasket system, these doors will maintain the highest STC ratings commercially available.

Door Glazing Aldso known as “Cam-lift” type hinges, they use the door’s own weight to provide a positive seal between the door bottom and the threshold when the door is closed. These unique hinges, manufactured our of stainless steel, gently lift the door when opened. Smooth easy door operation is maintained, while positively sealing out sound transmission at the door bottom

At Security Metal Products, we realize that no sound reduction installation is complete until the customer is satisfied that the product meets all performance goals. That is why all of our acoustic door and frame assemblies are guaranteed to meet or exceed accepted industry standard of a 5dB differential of laboratory vs. field testing.

If any Security Metal product fails to meed specified performance due to manufacturer’s defect with five years of the date of approved installation, we will repair or replace the defective product at no cost to the customer.
