NeTEx and Transmodel –ongoing standardisation

… provides a framework for defining and agreeing data models, and covers the whole area of public transport operations. By making use of this standard, and of data models derived from it, it will be possible for operators, authorities and software suppliers to work together much more easily towards integrated systems.

NeTEx – proposed work item (1)
• European wide simple profile for passenger information
• Operational information and fares are not in the scope for now
• Expectation of the Priority Action "A" of the ITS Directive
NeTEx – proposed work item (2)
• Part 1&2 (Network and Timing Information) are now about 3 years old and need to be reviewed according to CEN rules.
• The intention is to renew both TS, not to go to EN
