The House Judiciary Committee is seeking Interns for the Spring semester: Although our internship is unpaid, it allows flexible scheduling for our interns (comfortable with as little as 18 hours/week commitment, and as much as 40 hours/week is welcomed too), and offers invaluable insight to young adults who have an interest in civil service, particularly in relation to judicial matters. A little bit about our Committee’s intern program: -For undergraduate students – our Committee will staff 2 interns year-round who are in their undergraduates years of study. The students will work to assist our Full Committee office in duties to include: legislative research, oversight of Committee proceedings, office administration, and special projects as directed by full-time staff. -For law students – our Committee will staff 5 interns year-round who are in law school. Each student will be assigned to 1 of 5 subcommittees of our Office, and work to assist said subcommittee in: legal research, bill editing, extensive writing, preparing for and leading legislative meetings/proceedings, and special projects as directed by the small staffs of each subcommittee. As the link above reflects, internship applications are due to my email inbox by end-of-the-day on Wednesday, Oct. 12. If interns make it through an initial review of applications, they will be contacted about setting a time for a phone interview later that week or the following week. Intern slot selections will be made by the Chairman of the Committee by early November.

The Democratic Coalition Against Trump, the nation’s largest grassroots anti-Trump organization is looking for student ambassadors. There are less than fifty days left in this election, but that is plenty of time for students to get involved in our organization and make a difference.

Our organization is mobilizing college students to stand against Donald Trump this November through our Students Against Trump campaign. We’re looking for motivated and passionate students to join our campus engagement program as Campus Ambassadors. Campus Ambassadors will manage “Students Against Trump” groups on campus, which will serve as hubs for political engagement and organizing and as a liaison to the national “Stop Trump” movement.

Students of all majors are welcome to apply, but the number of positions per school is limited and applications are processed on a rolling basis. Therefore, interested students are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Students can apply by filling out this form. Questions about the Campus Ambassador program or the Democratic Coalition Against Trump should be directed to [email protected]

Sincerely, Emmett Eldred

Democratic Coalition Against Trump Director of Campus Engagement
