Woolworths Earn and Learn Program A reminder to collect those Earn and Learn stickers from Woolworths and drop them into school. This is a great initiative and provides valuable resources for our school.

Senior Girls Soccer It was a foggie start to the day. By half time the score was 1-0 Wellington’s way. Early in the second half scored from a dot shot. By the end of the game it was a 1-1 draw so the final decision went to corners. Wellington won 7 corners to our 5. It was a really close game and all the girls played well. An amazing save by Mollie Brown and our goalies Millie Wright and Chelsea Brien. Special thank you to Naomi Sykes for refereeing. Congratulations to all girls for making it to the 5th Round!

All Kinder teachers are asking for

donations of boxes of tissues and

hand sanitiser. Thank you

AFL Skills Program AFL players visited the school to promote an after school program that commences this Friday as well as to upskill students in the game. Unfortunately wet weather excluded Year 1 and 2 from the skills activity. The students photographed with the players Matthew Johnson and Casey White (who are both development officers for the Giants) are our senior boys and girls AFL teams.

P&C News The next meeting is this Wednesday night 2nd August. Come along and listen to guest presenters Martel Farrell and Tim Long to hear what is happening at our school. The uniform shop is currently stocked with good quality second hand clothes making it a great time to grab an extra jumper or pair of winter pants. Prices range between $2 and $5.

Uniform shop Opening Hours Tuesday 8.30 to 9.30am Thursday 8.30 to 9.30am

The canteen continues to need new volunteers. Thanks to those who responded to the call out last term. Your help is greatly appreciated. To keep running five days a week our canteen relies on a number of people contributing a small part each. Please consider volunteering if you can give some time.

Canteen Roster Please ring Jodie on 68822957 if you can assist in the Canteen—even an hour or two can help us out.

NAIDOC Day was held yesterday commencing with a whole school assembly where students and teachers were presented with certificates. The day was a success despite the rain. The children enjoyed many activities including the eating of Johnny Cakes, emu and kangaroo sausages plus making Australian animal sculptures. A big thank you to all our community, Dubbo local police and South Campus helpers for assisting on the day. Michael Donovan performed in the hall at lunch to the delight of the students who danced and sang along. Dina and Deb wish to thank all staff and students for making our NAIDOC Day such a success.
