When you arrive…

Check in with the Chief Officer of Election.

You will be sworn in by an oath specific for student pages.

You will be given a page shirt, name badge, and a “Project in Service Learning” community service form.

You may be given the responsibility to use the 1 CD for “Voter Lookup”

Final Thoughts

Shift- be on time Food- bring your own Transportation- have own; cannot leave before

shift is over Dress Appropriately Computer and Charger- fully charged & have

followed procedures to get it ready for voter look-up

Cell phones- NOT in polling place Attitude- positive & neutral Make sure that the Voter Lookup CD is given back

to the Election Chief

Technology Tally Sheet

PLACE ALL COMPLETE AND UNCOMPLETE TALLY SHEETS IN ENVELOPE #8

TECHNOLOGY TALLY SHEET THIS SHEET IS TO BE KEPT WITH THE VOTER LOOKUP CD. Please return this sheet to the Election Chief at the end of your shift or evening with the CD included. Process: You will load the Election CD on the computer and the program will appear. Enter the voter’s name and begin your search. (Only Henrico voters are on your CD.) The Henrico voter will not be on the poll book if:

a. The voter is not at the correct polling location b. The voter has a different name c. The voter is registered in a different locality

How to record the number of times the computer was used. How many times did you look up a Henrico voter? Keep a tally throughout the day by using hash marks, (ex: 1111 ) List your name below if you used the Voter Lookup CD.

At the conclusion of your shift, return the CD and this sheet to the Election Official.
