With experience, you can move up ranks to become a supervisor. Skills such as project management, team project works, proposal writing, mailing presentations financial management and committee work on industry ethics are very useful.

You need a university degree in electrical and electronics engineering or in a related form of engineering. You may also need a master’s degree or doctorate in a related engineering field. You need a license from a provincial association of professional engineers to approve engineering drawings and reports and to practice as a professional engineer.
