Elle Danielle, an attorney-turned photographer and mom started Elle Danielle

her clients’ stories, with images timeless enough to bring joy throughout their lives.

precious moments of her son, Greyson. Danielle’s admiration for being behind the lens quickly

escalated into a destination wedding photography and lifestyle portrait service. Her photos

have been published in national magazines and websites including, Munaluchi and

Elle Danielle Photography separates itself from other photographic services through the

sincere connections Danielle makes with her clients. The mission is for the client to let their

handle the business side of things, and I want to use my background as a former attorney to

help them,” Danielle said.

Danielle has coupled her backgrounds in law and photography to deliver speeches at l

conferences recently for Munaluchi in Tampa, Fla., and is excited for the future in her new

business venture.

Elle Danielle | Biography

It’s not exactly a common thing to hear about an attorney leaving their job to become a professional photographer, but for Elle Danielle, that’s exactly what she did. Danielle graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 2008 with a mission to make the world a better place by helping families as a practicing attorney.

After becoming a mother, she took up photography as a hobby and a chance to unwind from the stressful world of law, where being behind the lens gave her the warm and fuzzy feelings being an attorney didn’t.

When her law firm lost their federal grant, she took that opportunity to embody photography like never before and started her own photography business.

Today, Danielle is still making the world a better place, just not through practicing law, but as a professional photographer at her own business, Elle Danielle Photography.

As a professional photographer, her vision is simple: to create a wedding experience as unique and genuine as her clients’ stories, with images timeless enough to bring joy throughout their lives.

Besides delivering quality images to her clients, Danielle specifically focuses on providing superior customer service by getting to know her clients on a personal level.

“I treat each client like they are my only client, because I am their only photographer,” Danielle said.

Recently, Danielle has launched “Ellements,” a new business venture that offers consulting and mentoring advice in public relations, marketing and contract help specifically for fellow creatives.

When she’s not behind the lens, or mentoring other artists, you can find Danielle hanging out with her son, Greyson. Chances are, you’ll find them at any local food truck in Auburn eating their favorite food, tacos or binge watching shows on Netflix.

Five PR Tips for Photographers | Elle Danielle

Everyone could use a little PR advice for their business. Here are my top five tricks to create a successful business plan specifically for photographers:

1. Social Media is Your Best Friend | The biggest piece of advice I can give to anyone, would be to not shy away from the world of social media. Social media is a constant and integral part of today’s society, and the best part of it all, is it’s free!

Not only is social media a way to go directly to your potential clients, but it is also a great platform to brand yourself as a professional photographer.

My top three social media platforms for photographers are Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Each of these different platforms has millions of daily users and are all capable of posting pictures.

What better way to post your professional photos online for the world to see? Also, being social is a great way to stay current with potential clientele.

2. Show Your True Colors | Having a warm and inviting personality as a photographer is a must. Who would want to hire a photographer that they feel cold and awkward around?

For capturing some of life’s most special moments, people want to let their genuine emotions be seen by feeling relaxed when dealing with a photographer.

Some great ways to show your fun and quirky side are to share them through social media. Showcase your love of tacos, Netflix binges or chocolate to your followers. Sharing interests in the long run will create personal connections with consumers.

3. Create a Website | Every business needs a website that you can direct clients and potential clientele to. Your website’s mission should be twofold:

a. To tell people about yourself and your business. This is another great opportunity to let your personality shine.

b. To have all important material, including contact information, pricing (if you so choose), a portfolio and blog.

Your website will act as the main hub for everything important about your business that you need to share with people.

4. Establish Your Identity | This goes hand in hand with branding your name. What do you want to be known for? Is there a certain style that you want potential clients to associate you with? Whatever it is, just know that everything you post on social media, whether it’s your own personal account, or professional, is reflected upon your identity. Always be sure to post positive things that will help boost your reputation.

5. Blog Your Heart Out | Creating a blog, whether it’s on your own website or a separate webpage is very important when people are searching for you. Look at it this way, the more ways you can reach out to people, or share information about your business is a way to increase your SEO, so people can find you, thus creating more business.

If you do decide to have a blog, keeping it current is key. Nothing is worse than looking at blog that hasn’t been updated in months or even years!

Moreover, your blog will also serve as another way to connect with your audience by posting your photos. For example, share a great experience you had at a photo-shoot or wedding. Taking the time to talk about your clients individually will impress potential clientele.
