Empathy Map iiii I am not sure if I made the right decision to work in the Ministry of Education. I am not sure if I can do well in this first job. As I did my undergraduate studies overseas, I am expected to perform better than the others I wish that I did not accept this job which pays me a lower starting salary than in the business sectors. But, there is job security in a government organisation. Stanley had checked the website of the Ministry to find out its mission & goals. He also has an idea of the job expectations. Stanl ey Probably, Stanley is caught between his desire for job security and personal self- esteem. In his mind, his contemporaries are doing better because they earning more. Stanley feels that because his contemporaries are earning more, they must be doing better. Stanley also feels that he may lose out as his early working years are the most productive. Stanley is struggling whether he has made the right decision in accepting his first job in a government ministry. Stanley needs to have job security (in a government organisation) as well as a high starting salary (business world). Stanley believes that the current global financial situation is still very volatile.
