End of Year Report

Another successful Year:

2015/16 : Eden was over-subscribed with over 200 students applying for a place. 109 were admitted including 9 successful appeals

2016/17 : Eden over-subscribed again with 207 students applying for a place and 120 were admitted

Attendance remains strong – In our first year (2014/15) the school’s overall attendance was 97.7% - this was the 6th Highest in England out of over 3000 secondary schools; In 2015/16 overall attendance was 97.4% - it is likely that this will place Eden in the top 10 schools in the Country

Over 97% of students made expected progress and around 70% made better than expected progress – (top 5% in the country)

High quality teachers recruited for all subjects and successfully inducted into the Eden Way

Successfully managed two massive transitions during the past academic year without any fuss or any dip in achievement:

1. in September 2015 created 4 extra rooms using the school hall, staffroom and site supervisors room to accommodate additional 109 students into Cotton Street

2. in January 2016 moved the whole school from Cotton Street into our brand new purpose-built building on Wolfenden Street
