Energy and Greenhouse Gas Emissions Management PolicyIAMGOLD recognizes that efficient management of energy is required to achieve its business strategy and provide benefits to stakeholders. Further, that effective energy management will directly contribute to operational cost improvements and control of environmental impacts. With this in mind, our key energy management objectives are:

1. Continuously improve our energy performance;2. Reduce our emissions of greenhouse gases and resulting impacts on the environment;3. Support the introduction of clean and renewable energy.

These objectives will be met through commitments to:

Recognizing that energy is a key performance indicator that requires a management system to ensure optimized utilization and sustainable performance;

Providing adequate resources and assigning management accountability for energy performance and GHG emissions;

Developing the capability of our workforce to effectively control energy consumption;

Measuring and reporting our energy use and greenhouse gas emissions;

Setting annual targets to reduce energy consumption and track results;

Complying with applicable laws and regulations in the management of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions;

Benchmarking international standards and applying best practices as appropriate;

Integrating energy efficiency and greenhouse gas management into decision-making for the design and operation of our mines and projects;

Exploring clean and renewable energy options in the decision making processes of our business.
