May is a busy month for families. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in our

Happy Birthday to our May babies: May Birthstone Emerald
The annual International Night will be at our June 9th
meeting. Please note that this
meeting will start at 6:00 PM. Please advise Giovanna the dish that you will be
bringing.
International Night is one of our events where everyone is required to pitch-in.
That’s what makes it so much fun. No two events over some 40 years have been alike
and the food has always been magnificent because we are such a mixed group of so
many ethnic backgrounds. This and our barbecue draw more members than any
other event. The food will do it every time! Please call and indicate what you plan to
bring. Couples count as two and men are NOT excluded. Wine does not require a
cooking skill nor does bread, fruit and oh so many other items. Like last year, we will
be providing a few main dish items to supplement what our members are bringing.
How do you keep your dish hot? One method is to wrap it in multiple layers of
newspaper. Also be sure to bring serving forks or spoons. Your food must be in a dish
it will be served in.
COMING EVENTS
Please call Giovanna at to reserve your spot for future events. Please pay for each
event by separate check payable to Englewood Cliffs Seniors.
May 6th
Wednesday PLAY – Brooks Atkinson Theater 256 West 47th
Street New
York City – “It Should Have Been You” staring Tyne Daly. It's a culture clash for the ages
when two families from wildly different backgrounds come together to celebrate a wedding. As if the union
wasn't complicated enough, the bride's ex-boyfriend arrives, bringing the wedding to a screeching halt and
throwing both families into hysterical chaos. Plots are hatched, promises broken, secrets exposed - and the
bride's resourceful sister is left to turn an unmitigated disaster into happily ever after. "It Shoulda Been You"
puts a refreshingly modern spin on the traditional wedding comedy, proving that when it comes to wedding
day insanity, it's all relative.
The bus will leave from the Lions Club at 12:30 SHARP. Be about 15 minutes early.
Tickets have been reserved. Price for members is $79. And for non-members the
price is $90. Call Giovanna right away to hold your spot.
