Fun starts at 11 am and goes to 3 pm. More details coming soon. What does the face of an “overcomer” look like? If you came to the Stay Sharp! Drug Awareness Event with Teen Chal- lenge recently, you would have seen young men and women share their journey of pain and heartache as their life was dragged through the mire. Real- ity met Truth and these young people learned that with God’s help and through the Teen Chal- lenge program they could be overcomers. Josh and Ryan from Richer, who are presently in the program, shared their journey with the community. Membership Drive - The Richer Local Manitoba Metis Federation is hosting an event to process your membership, Harvestor Card, and replace or renew cards. They are also processing Metis Conservation Trust stickers and Big Game tags. It will be held at the Richer Young at Heart on May 14 from 11 am – 3 pm.Memberships, Harvestors/Re-placing or renewing cards is $10. Big Game Tags are $25. Cash payments are accepted. Saturday, May 14th and 28th: Recy-cling Collection. 9:30 am - 12 noon. 1st stop Burnell’s Foods, 2nd Stop Richer Inn, 3rd stop Tibeauville, 4th stop Timberline, with the 5th stop at the Richer Husky where the recyclers will remain until noon. Recycling can also be dropped off in the recycling shed located in the Richer Husky parking lot at your convenience.

SEINE RIVER SERVICES FOR SENIORS would like to invite everyone to their AGM on Thursday, May 19 at the Richer Young at Heart Community Center. Our day will also consist of a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. to acknowledge our great volunteers followed by the Annual Gen-eral Meeting at 1 p.m. Entertainment, guest speaker on wills and door prizes. The Richer Crib Club held its Sea-son Windup on April 5th. Regular crib play results were: tied for first place, Gayle Carriere and Regina Konge, third place Dan Ross, and fourth place Chris Seamon. The Booby prize went to Jodie Cayer, while Jean Laurin won the 50/50. In addition, season awards were presented to Regina Konge for high average, and Carole Mar-leau for low average. Summer tournament dates are May 10th, June 7th, July 12th, and August 9th, so mark your calendars and plan to join us.

The Richer Community Club (RCC) is continuing with its Bursary program established last year offering up to two $250 awards to students in the local area who are continuing their education at a post secondary level. For more information, ask your school councilor about the RRC Bursary or to obtain an application. Ap-plications should be available at all Ste. Anne high schools and the high school in Lorette and La Broquerie. Bursaries are awarded in part to students who have shown an aptitude for community involvement.
