Enrique ZUAZUA at International IFCAM Workshop on “Control and Numerics for fluid-structure interaction problems”, India
Ø IFCAM is the Indo-French Center for Applied MathematicsØ TIFR - Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Center for Applicable Mathematics of Bangalore, India,Ø June 29-July 1, 2015.
The workshop, organised in the context of the Indo-French Center for Applied Mathematics will explore the frontiers of current research and trends in the control and numeric for fluid -structure field with relevant interactions in many fields of industry, aero-elasticity, marine hydrodynamics, bio-medical flows, etc. The goal of the workshop is to bring together experts in control theory, analysis and numerics in this field in order to encourage interactions and cross-fertilization across the disciplines.
Enrique ZUAZUA, Distinguished Ikerbasque Professor, will deliver an invited plenary talk to present the work of the BCAM group on Partial differential equations, numerics and control in this field.
Masters/PhD, post-docs, in mathematics or engineering departments can apply for participation sending a two page curriculum vitae and a recommendation letter to [email protected]. Deadline: April 10, 2015. Selected participants will be announced on April 15, 2015 and will be provided III AC train fare, boarding and lodging during the workshop.

El taller, organizado en el marco del Centro Indo-Francés de Matemática Aplicada explorará las fronteras de la investigación y las tendencias actuales en el campo del control y numérico para la relevante interacción fluido-estructura en muchos campos de la industria, aeroelasticidad, hidrodinámica marina, los flujos de bio-médica, etc. El objetivo del taller es reunir a expertos en la teoría de control, análisis y numérico en este campo con el fin de fomentar la interacción y enriquecimiento mutuo en disciplinas transversales.
Enrique ZUAZUA, Profesor Distinguido Ikerbasque, ofrecerá una charla plenaria en la que presentará el trabajo del grupo de BCAM en Ecuaciones en Derivadas Parciales, Métodos numéricos y Control en este campo.
Estudiantes de master / doctorado, post-docs, en matemáticas o departamentos de ingeniería pueden solicitar su participación enviando un curriculum vitae dos páginas y una carta de recomendación a [email protected]. Fecha límite: 10 de abril 2015. Los participantes seleccionados, que serán anunciados el 15 de abril de 2015, obtendrán billete de tren III AC, alojamiento y comida durante el taller.
