• Textiles and clothing plays a vibrant role in the development and industrialisation

process of countries and their integration into the world economy.

• The global textile industry was estimated to be around USD 920 billion in 2018, and

it is projected to witness a CAGR of approximately 4.4% during the forecast period to

reach approximately USD 1,230 billion by 2024.

• Thus, the growth and all round development of this industry has a direct bearing on

the improvement of Ethiopia's economy.
