EXHIBITING ARTISTS - AUGUST 2019
CHRIS WEBB - Unley Civic LibraryAs an emerging artist and nature lover, Chris is inspired by visual and tactile experiences whilst walking within the landscape, revealing clues to narratives both past and present. The exhibition features watercolour paintings on paper. More works are on display at the Hughes Gallery, Fullarton Community Centre.
TANJA ROMA - Unley Civic LibraryI create dot, resin and fluid art. I have been working with dot art for about one year and resin art only four months. For me, these are all extremely therapeutic. Dot art is almost meditative, and I often can sit for hours. It's a great way to relieve stress. Trying new designs, different colours and seeing the end result is always great fun.
ROSINA POSSINGHAM - Goodwood LibraryMy paintings explore our relationship with the natural world; the green spaces that are integral to our experiences and the identity of places. Intrigued by life in familiar suburban places, I like to imagine how the stories of plants match with those of people and the community. I look at the plants and ask: where did it come from? Is it local? Is it a weed?
FRIDAYS, 7 - 11PM, UNLEY TOWN HALL
$4 entry fee, no bookings required. You are encouraged to bring your favourite retro systems along.
A monthly get together for people who have an interest in rare or obscure machines and software. If you love everything retro
computing and gaming tech then come along!
12 JULY, 9 AUGUST, 13 SEPTEMBER
This interactive presentation hosted by Todd Dearing, PhD Candidate in English at Flinders University, will explore the experience of poetry and how it is (mis)understood. Come and delve into the ins and outs of poetry during Adelaide’s Poetry Slam heats.
