REGISTRATION $6 per person inclusive of a GOODIE BAG! Registration will be held at the event. All walk-ins will join a group of similar age/gender. Target age group: 12-21 years old.

EVENT DETAILS Youths are to head to SUTD on their own at 11.30am. You’re advised to eat a heavy brunch before arriving. Chartered buses will be provided to shuttle youths from SUTD to BBTC between 3 to 4pm. Sports attire must be decent. Youths are to bring a set of clothes to change into when they arrive at BBTC.

ESSENTIALINFORMATIONANNOUNCEMENTS

LIAU HON CHUNGThe sight of seeing the children queue up to recite

the verses thrills me, knowing that God’s Word, when treasured in their hearts, will reap eternal

blessings far beyond what our eyes can see and will not return to Him void. It is very exciting to see the younger team members investing their time in our Father’s business. Some are already planning their

return. I pray that He will raise up more young people to disciple the SAV youths and children.

CHEN LIJIAWe had such a blessed time as a team. The Lord

knit our hearts together as one and we were able to share who Jesus is with the children and

youths, and connected extremely well with them during free time when we played the guitar, sang,

taught them English and chatted regardless of the language barrier. God is truly faithful and I am

honoured to have been a part of His continuous work of sanctification in these young lives at the

Abdi Agape Orphanage.

REBECCA KOHThis was my first mission trip and it was the first

time that I interacted with so many orphans. I have been touched by the children’s gestures, and amazed by Ps David Junaidi and his wife’s

unconditional love for the orphans at Abdi Agape Orphanage. I learnt that when I trust God and let Him

use me, He will enable me. I personally experienced Hebrews 13:21 coming through for me during this

mission trip. I realised that when God enables me, I do not need to do much because I know that surely

He has gone before me.

NATASHA GOHGod opened my heart to His love for children. He opened my eyes to the vision of discipling the children into disciple-makers. And when Ibu informed the children of a church bombing in East Kalimantan and exhorted them to trust in Him, He showed me how much a Christian in Indonesia needs to be strong and very courageous, and to have faith in His protection and faithfulness. I can hardly wait to return to West Kalimantan.

JAMIE SIMOur purpose in going was to continue the discipleship of the children and equip them with life skills. What we didn’t expect was the warmth and affection the children would receive us with. We were blessed by their childlike love, hunger for learning and passion for worship. I thank God for the smooth and safe journey, good rapport among the team and for Him blessing the work of our hands more than we asked or imagined, and I look forward to seeing the fruit of the seeds sown there in time to come.

LAWRENZ ISAAK TANThis was the first time I visited Yayasan Abdi Agape. Jesus was in our midst every time we worshipped Him. One night, an impromptu worship even had us all dancing before the Lord as David did. What joy! God’s presence was especially strong on the last night, when we had an altar call for healing. An unforgettable and touching sight was that of all the children laying hands on and praying for Ibu while some children sang and worshipped the Lord. Farewell was bittersweet for us – including the children – but I know we will see them again.

MISSION TRIP REPORT

WEST KALIMANTAN, PONTIANAK, NOV 10-14The team of 6 conducted a series of discipleship sessions with the children and youths at

Adbi Agape Orphanage. The sessions included: Jesus the Lord Who saves; Jesus the Word of God; Jesus their Lord, Master and Teacher; Jesus their Healer, Quiet Time; and handles on Time Management.

They also held a skit competition where groups acted out selected scriptural passages to internalise the Word of God, and a final night session when everyone responded readily to be prayed for to receive healing.

Many cried and were touched by the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit.
