Editor’s NoteThis allows the editor to send a personal note to the audience. Usually containing information about the feature article or the editor’s opinion on something, thins brings the editor close to the readers. Since a picture is also included, it allows the readers to see who edited the issue.

CompetitionsCompetitions to win prizes are a common sight in Kerrang!, and they give the readers something else to get involved in. The competitions are also centred around a certain aspect of the issue or a band, for example in this issue the prizes are a guitar, event tickets and albums from a band.

K! QuizThe K! Quiz (Short for Kerrang! Quiz), allows the reader to test their knowledge of bands and the most recent news. This interacts with the reader and gives them something to do other than read the magazine.

Subscription AdvertisementThis advertisement offers a subscription to Kerrang! magazine and allows the reader to get a discount on the issues. This gives them another way to purchase the magazine, giving them more freedom. This shows that the editors are aware that some readers buy every issue weekly, and therefore know their audience.

AdvertisementsThe Kerrang! website features a lot of advertisements that are targeted towards the audience of the magazine. The advertisements include things like tour and large concerts, clothing & merchandise and links to other forms of media that Kerrang! use such as the radio and podcasts.

NewsThis section of the website brings the visitors the latest news from the music industry, such as tours and tour dates. Although there is nowhere near as much information here than there is in the magazine, the website gives some of the most important headlines. This in a way attempts to persuade the visitors to purchase the magazine as that has much more stories and information inside.

Social MediaThere is also an advertisement for various social media sites that users can interact with both the staff at Kerrang! and each other, forming a tightly-knit and friendly audience. These social media sites are used to bring updates and important headlines to viewers.
