Why we went Establish a partnership between the two schools Deliver our curriculum Hire a Director of Studies and teachers Train staff in use of VEC materials Where we went Tripoli, Libya, for 3 weeks Got visa #200 for 2013 Borders basically closed Heres the deal VEC partnered with TKH. VEC supplies curriculum, assessment, and administrative tools. TKH supplies people and space. Modern and old equipment English classes are mandatory Lecture-style Low pay, unpopular teachers, friendly TAs Translation error? or job opportunity? Technological challenges Availability of equipment and Internet connectivity Communication difficulties Branding with twin logos Software differences No mail service Communication Challenges Time difference Weekend difference Distance and immediacy of issues Next time?
