6.3 From construction ordemolition
Yes During construction work, there is short term noise impactsin the immediate vicinity of the project site due to variousconstruction activities such as excavation activities,Concreting and mixing, vehicular movement and variousconstruction machinery;Following precautions shall be taken to control noisepollution : High noise generating construction activities is
being carried out only during day time Installation, use and maintenance of mufflers on
equipmentWorkers working near high noise construction machineryare being supplied with ear muffs/ear plugs
6.4 From blasting or piling No No blasting or piling is being done.
6.5 From construction oroperational traffic
Yes It shall be restricted within a limited area. Some amount ofnoise will be generated in the construction and operationalphase however, adequate precautions will be taken toreduce noise generation i.e. development of green areawhich will act as barrier to control noise/air pollution(detailed in EMP).
6.6 From lighting orcooling systems
No Cooling towers are not proposed so there will be no noisegeneration from them. During power failure, operation ofDG sets will generate noise. However, these shall behoused in acoustically enclosed chambers. Hence, nosignificant impact anticipated.
6.7 From any other sources No
7. Risks of contamination of land or water from releases of pollutants into the ground orinto sewers, surface waters, groundwater, coastal waters or the sea:
S.No. Information/Checklistconfirmation
Yes/No Details thereof (with approximate quantities/rates,wherever possible) with source of information data
7.1 From handling, storage, hazardous materials useor Spillage of hazardousmaterials
Yes The hazardous waste includes spilled paints, adhesive, sealants and spent oil from standby DG sets. The spilledhazardous waste would be carefully collected anddisposed off as per applicable norms. The spent oil willbe carefully stored in HDPE drums under isolatedstorage, and periodically sold to authorize recyclers. Allprecautions will be taken to avoid spillage from storage.
7.2 From discharge ofsewage or othereffluents water or theland (expected modeand place of discharge)to
No There will be no discharge of untreated sewage on wateror land, as the wastewater after tertiary treatment will bereused for flushing, horticultural and the remainingamount of treated water (upto Secondary treatment) willbe discharged into the municipal sewers. So, no adverseeffect is envisaged

7.3 By deposition ofpollutants emitted to airinto the land or intowater
No Deposition of dust on land & plants from air due totransportation will be there, both during operational &construction phase but will be minimal. Watersprinkling and good house keeping shall be regularlycarried out
7.4 From any other sources No Not applicable
7.5 Is there a risk of longterm build up ofpollutants in theenvironment from thesesources?
No There is no risk of long term build up of pollutants inthe environment from handling, storage, use or spillageof hazardous materials, discharge of sewage or othereffluents to water or the land and by deposition ofpollutants emitted to air into the land or into watersources.
8. Risk of accidents during construction or operation of the Project, which could affecthuman health or the environment

8.1 From explosions, spillages, firesetc from storage, handling, useor production of hazardoussubstances
This is basically a construction project and doesnot involve major hazardous constructionactivity. Hence, chances of explosions, spillages, fires are minimal.
All construction workers are being providedwith suitable personal protective equipment(PPE) as per the health & safety norms. Trainingand awareness about the safety norms is beingprovided to all supervisors and workers involvedin construction activities.
An agreement is signed with the contractor, which clearly deals safety aspects duringconstruction. No major hazardous waste is beingstored with in the project site. No industrial orprocess activity is involved in this project hencechances of chemical hazards and accidents areminimal. However, suitable fire-fightingmeasures will be provided.
8.2 From any other causes No For accidental fires, Fire fighting Pumps shall beinstalled
8.3 Could the project be affected bynatural disasters causingenvironmental damage (e.g.
No As per the secondary data available no suchprecedents has been reported. However thepossibility of such incidents cannot be ruled out.

Earthquakes:The project falls under seismic Zone IV. Designand architecture of RCC Frame work isearthquake resistant and complies with therequired IS Specifications.Suitable seismic coefficients in horizontal andvertical directions respectively, are beingadopted while designing the structures tominimize the impact of any disaster.Landslide: Area is not land slide proneCloudburst: Not reportedFloods:The area is not flood prone. The project hasplanned storm water layout in regards to thepeak intensity of the rainfall so far received asrecorded by IMD.
